Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2, 2026

By using TestDossier, you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain language.

1. The service

TestDossier is a tool for capturing manual QA evidence and ingesting CI runs into one shareable report. You can start authoring locally in your browser without an account. Signed-in Free features include limited share links and capture submissions. Pro adds cloud sync, unlimited share links, unlimited capture submissions, stakeholder comments and verified sign-off, cloud-synced test plans and runs, CI ingest, a disposable test inbox, branded PDF export, and team workspaces.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login secure. TestDossier uses magic-link email authentication, so anyone who can access your email may also be able to access your TestDossier account. Protect that email account with a strong password and MFA.

A creator account belongs to one person and may be used on that person's own devices — up to three signed-in devices at a time; signing in on a fourth signs out the oldest, and work stored locally on a signed-out device is not erased. Teams and agencies must invite each creator under their own email rather than share one creator login. Clients, developers, and other report reviewers can inspect and respond to shared reports without using a paid creator account.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the test data, screenshots, and content you create in TestDossier. We claim no ownership over your content. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and serve your content as needed to operate TestDossier (e.g., to display your test cases to you, or to render shared links to people you've explicitly shared with).

4. Acceptable use

Don't use TestDossier to host or share illegal content, malware, or content that infringes others' rights. Don't try to break the service, abuse the share-link feature for spam, or scrape other users' data. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Don't create, delete, or cycle multiple Free accounts or QA Team trials to evade share, reviewer, storage, seat, or trial limits. If a real team onboarding from a shared network reaches an automated safeguard, contact support and we'll help without requiring device fingerprinting.

Comments on shared reports. When you enable comments on a share you own, you're responsible for moderating what gets posted. We provide tools to remove and restore individual comments and to disable comments per-share. Removed comments leave a public moderation notice. Repeated abusive content posted via your shares (and not moderated) may result in your share-comment feature being disabled at the account level.

Test inbox and sign-off. The disposable test inbox is for exercising your own email flows — don't use it to receive illegal content, to operate an anonymous remailer, or to evade another service's terms. When you record a sign-off verdict on a shared report, use your own name and a real email address; don't impersonate another reviewer or submit verdicts you aren't authorised to give.

5. Payments and refunds

Pro is billed monthly or annually via Stripe Managed Payments when paid checkout is available. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: if Pro doesn't work for you within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, email support and we'll refund you in full. After 30 days you can cancel any time and won't be charged again, though we don't pro-rate partial periods. If a Pro feature is provided during early access without payment, no payment terms apply until you start a paid subscription.

6. Cancellation and data

Cancel any time from your billing portal. Cancellation stops renewal; Pro remains active through the paid billing period. Local-only authoring stays in your browser, and server-backed Free features follow their stated expiry rules. When Pro ends, personal cloud data has a 30-day grace period in which you can re-subscribe or export it. After that, eligible live data is deleted under the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account removes personal live-service records immediately and queues associated object-storage evidence for retried deletion; disaster-recovery copies expire on a 35-day schedule. Workspace contributions remain with the workspace under an opaque erasure identity.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but offer no SLA on free or Pro tiers. The service is provided "as is." We're not liable for any indirect damages, lost data, or business losses arising from service downtime or bugs. Always keep your own backups via the Export button.

8. Changes to these terms

If we materially change these terms, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
